    Massage therapy questions & answers

The things clients ask most before their first session in East Islip.

    Frequently asked questions

What happens during my first massage session?
We start by talking through your goals, health history, and any areas of pain or limited movement. From there the session is built around what your body needs that day, and we keep communicating so pressure and focus can be adjusted as we go.
Do you offer deep tissue massage?
Yes. Deep tissue work is available and often combined with other techniques within one session. Pressure is always matched to what your body can accept comfortably.
Can massage help with chronic pain or an old injury?
Michelle's practice focuses on chronic pain patterns, muscular dysfunction, injury recovery, and pre- and post-surgical support. Massage is not a substitute for medical care, so please follow your provider's guidance alongside your sessions.
    Where are you located?
Restore & Rise Massage Therapy is at 268 E. Main Street, East Islip, NY 11730, inside Sacred Willow Wellness — convenient to Islip, Bay Shore, Sayville, and the surrounding Long Island area.
How do I book an appointment?
You can reserve a time on the online booking page, or call or text 516-701-3242 and Michelle will help you find a time.
What are your hours and prices?
Tuesday 4:00–8:30 PM, Friday 3:00–7:30 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. Closed Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Session pricing and current availability are listed on the online booking page. If you don't see a time that works, call or text 516-701-3242.
Do you take no-fault (auto) or veterans (VA) appointments?
Medical massage for no-fault (auto) situations and veterans (VA) sessions appear among the bookable services. Because requirements and paperwork vary, please call or text 516-701-3242 before booking so we can confirm what applies to you.
What should I do before and after my session?
Arrive a few minutes early so we have time to talk, wear comfortable clothing, and drink water afterward. Let Michelle know about any medications, recent surgeries, or medical conditions before we begin.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Venmo, and Zelle are accepted, and FSA and HSA cards are welcome. No-fault (auto) appointments are also accepted — please call or text 516-701-3242 first so we can confirm what paperwork applies. Gratuities are welcomed but never expected.
